Latest updates of suspected Novel Coronavirus cases reported to CHP
During the past 24 hours, the University has received reports of 0 case(s) fulfilling the reporting criteria to CHP*.
As of February 17, 2020, 1pm the University has received reports of a total of 6 cases fulfilling the reporting criteria, and all 6 cases were ruled out as novel coronavirus infection by January 26. However, the University has arranged additional cleaning and disinfectant in related areas as an extra precautionary measure.
*According to the CHP’s latest reporting criteria, medical practitioners are requested to make a report to the CHP for further investigation if they encounter an individual with fever or acute respiratory illness, or pneumonia, and who had experienced one of the following within 14 days prior to the onset of symptoms: (a) visited Hubei Province; or (b) visited a medical hospital in the Mainland; or (c) had close contact with a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus while that patient was symptomatic.
